Many of us with siblings close in age are so over those coordinating outfits of our childhood — but not Venus and Serena Williams. The sisters selected matching white, navy and red outfits for their doubles match at the Olympics on Monday — and dominated in the process.
Since Serena is a Nike athlete, and wears the brand’s goods, Venus actually designed a look of her own to match her sister’s style, and is selling the pieces in limited quantities through her EleVen clothing line.
The top and skirt — manufactured in the United States — give a nod to wonder Woman, Venus admits. “I hope it will help me channel my favorite superhero,” she says, “and manifest another gold medal.”
